Sun, moon, and sorry...no stars

A warmth-less winter sun sets behind the Jefferson Memorial illuminating the frozen Potomac.

A few nights after the eclipse (which I missed due to cloud cover and such) I got this picture of the waning moon.

Final Project:

Final project due in one month...oh the possibilities. I honestly don't know what topic to choose. Landscape, portrait, something to support my business, something emotional, moving? I have lots of different ideas floating around but they all seem rather vague. Nothing is concrete yet. I guess what I mean is that nothing has struck me that says "Voila!"

Maybe you all can help me get my thoughts flowing...

Krysta's Maternity Session

I had the privilege to do a maternity session for my sister during my Fall Break. She is expecting her third child so I thought it was high time this wonderful time was recorded. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot. We were in downtown Leesburg in Northern VA.

LAMP magazine

LU has a magazine that publishes poetry, photography, essays and short novels that are submitted by former or current LU faculty, staff and students. So naturally I thought I would submit some poetry and photography. But I would like some help.

Please just write a comment here or e-mail me at cagil@liberty.edu to tell me what are a couple of your favorite pictures. If you can think of one that I have shown you or posted on fb that isn't on any of my photo blogs, just try describing it to me. It will be so hard to decided what to submit and your opinion would help tremendously.

Thank you so much!

The new and imporved made-over, re-done blog!

Hello Everybody!

Still Image Photography has a new name, a new logo and a new blog! We have changed our name to Timeless Reflections: photographic art for every occasion.

I will start posting pictures soon. I have a tentative shoot with a family at church. It has been canceled three times due to rain. We have had a really wet August here in Lynchburg VA which is very unusual. It has been really good though because we got no rain the entire month of July. Then I have a shoot in October. But for right now I might just start posting old pictures that maybe haven't gone up yet for whatever reason.

For those of you who are new I will tell you a little bit about myself and how this business got started.

My name is Charissa, I Am 20 years old and I currently attend Liberty University. I started my business almost 2 years ago. It started out as being unofficially called "Memory Photography". When I actually decided to make a business out of it I called it "Still Image Photography". Recently I decided that the lack of logo was a big problem. After taking an advanced graphic design class as in intensive over the summer I decided to tackle the task of designing a logo and also thought it might be good to just start form scratch and really think everything over so it would be more professional. The result is a name change to "Timeless "Reflections: Photographic art for every Occasion." I'm getting ready to print my new business cards and hope to be able to customize this blog with my logo and color scheme soon.
So welcome everyone! Hope you enjoy the new look and new take on this adventure. Thank you all for your constant support. I have several customers who time after time and year after year have come back and continued to use me as their photographer. That means a lot to me and I hope I never disappoint you.

God bless!
